Chronic Disease Management Plan
The therapists at Child Sense Occupational Therapy are registered with Medicare Australia. Eligible families might be able to claim some reimbursement for up to 5 occupational therapy sessions under the Enhanced Primary Care Plan.
Better Access to Mental Health Plan
Some children might also qualify for Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). Under this scheme you may be eligible to claim up to 10 occupational therapy sessions per calendar year. Not all therapists within Child Sense are registered for a MHCP. Mental Health Care plan funding can be accessed with a referral from a GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist.
Helping Children With Autism Plan
If your paediatrician has concerns about your child’s social development or your child has an Autism Spectrum Disorder your paediatrician may set up a Helping Children With Autism Plan which may provide a rebate for you under Medicare for 4 sessions as part of an assessment process or 20 sessions for intervention.
